Betting Prediction:
Syracuse is falling off the charts this year. This good program had difficult schedules in the past couple of years and this year, it is not that much different. They lost to Clemson by nearly 40 and they also lost to Maryland by 43. QB Tommy DeVito, a sophomore, has completed 106 out of his 167 throws for 1234 yards, 11 touchdowns, and 5 picks. RB Moe Neal is averaging 4.4 yards per carry and he also has 3 touchdowns.
NC State is currently 3-2 on the year and the team still hasn’t faced any tough opposition. The Wolfpack lost to West Virginia and Florida State because the offense couldn’t keep up with the pace. QB Matthew McKay is completing 57% of his throws for 910 yards and he also has 3 touchdowns and 1 interception. NC State has a triple threat running the offense with three capable of doing damage running backs who both have over 200 rushing yards.
I don’t trust Matthew McKay in this one. The Syracuse defense is very good this year and I doubt that NC State will be able to score much. On the other side, Syracuse should not have many difficulties against a side that has given up 33 points to Western Michigan this year.
