Stanford started the season with 4 consecutive wins but then they fell apart, losing their next 2 games. They beat USC and Oregon on the road but the performances weren’t dominant at all. They only beat Oregon because the Ducks had trouble moving the chains and committed many turnovers while USC outplayed Stanford but the Cardinal managed to escape with the win. Their luck ran out in the last two weeks when they were beaten by Notre Dame and Utah by a combined 40 points.
Arizona State are 3-3, winning all of their home games and losing all of their away games. They showed that they can play against good sides during the season but their inconsistency prevents them from having any thoughts about a bowl game. QB Manny Wilkins showed that his teammates can count on him as he has thrown for 11 touchdowns and just 1 interception so far.
The Sun Devils are very good at home and in a conference battle, I think that they will be ready for the challenge. They will perhaps be mistake-free and their QB will have another solid game. However, I do not think that we will see many points scored because the game will be very physical.
