The St. Louis Blues rebounded from the two-game losing streak they had with a 3-2 win over Ottawa on Saturday. Carl Gunnarsson was the main man in that game, scoring the winner with a bit over 7 minutes left of the game. Ryan O’Reilly is one of the other leaders of the team. He has scored 4 goals in his last 13 games and he has also assisted for 12 others. He is now the team’s leading scorer in points with 48 and assists with 31.
The Los Angeles Kings, on the other side, are coming off a very tough 7-1 loss to Colorado on Saturday. Goalie Jonathan Quick allowed five goals on 22 shots on the night which was pretty embarrassing. When St. Louis and Los Angeles met earlier in the season, the Kings managed to shut the opponents out but their defensive abilities have taken a big step down.
Both teams are struggling to score and this can be easily seen from the last games they played against each and from the last games they played overall. I still believe St. Louis has the better talent and it will be a shame if it goes to waste this season. They will get the W but I believe it will be a narrow game.
