It looks like Shrewsbury is going to be involved in a battle for keeping their place in the League One. Last season they finished just 4 points above the relegation zone. The start of this season for The Blues wasn’t impressive – 1-1-2.
In the last league game, they managed to take the first victory against Chesterfield but I expect a tougher game versus Gillingham which definitely have ambitions for top 6 spot at the end of the season. Gillingham was humiliated in their last away game – 0:5 to Scunthorpe, so this is a good chance to get back on the winning track in the league. The players must be inspired after the big away win at Watford this week for the League Cup. The Gills usually have problems against Shrewsbury but I think that this will not be the case here.
