Betting Prediction:
The Philadelphia Eagles need a win over Washington and a Vikings’ loss to Chicago which is not out of question, in order to get to the postseason. Nick Foles is running the offense better than Carson Wentz and he is now leading the team to another potential playoff run. He is also coming off a win in Los Angeles over one of the Super Bowl contenders- the Rams. Even though he put up modest numbers, he was still able to get the W as he did not make any turnovers.
The Redskins are 1-5 since Alex Smith got injured and their high playoff hopes disappeared. They even released their star safety D.J. Swearinger last week. They are just not able to put up numbers offensively and the only time they got a victory, they beat the struggling Jaguars, 16-13. Last week, they suffered a defeat in Tennessee by 9 points in a game where they couldn’t get anything going.
Washington will be without Swearinger and without motivation in this one. I expect the Eagles’ defense to step up against a third-string quarterback in this one and deliver. Foles should be able to cover the spread, although the defense is solid.
