Here it is. The game we’ve all been waiting for. And what a game we are going to witness. The number one offense in the game – Atlanta Falcons goes against the number one defense- New England Patriots.

[membership]New England’s defense is allowing just 15 points per game throughout the whole year but the Patriots still haven’t faced a side like the Falcons that can score 30 at will. Gronkowski will be the big miss for New England while Chris Hogan turned himself into hero against the Steelers when he went for 180 yards for 2 touchdowns. The Steelers never got to Brady and he had all the time in the world to pick a receiver and throw the football to him.
The Falcons won’t give him that time because they already know what is going to happen to them if they do. They don’t even have to blitz him because they have Vic Beasley who is leading the NFL in sacks with 15.5 and Deion Jones provides a stability as a middle linebacker who can block passes and change their direction. Of course, Atlanta’s secondary is suspect because Desmond Trufant won’t be playing but what Atlanta’s defense has really been doing all year is creating turnovers. If they can create turnovers in the Super Bowl, that means more possessions for their offense which means Matt Ryan will put up more points on the board.
The only two times Tom Brady lost in the Super Bowl were against a Giants’ defense that disrupted his rhythm and timing. The Falcons are capable of doing that without even blitzing which won’t leave their secondary vulnerable. The Falcons’ defensive players are very young and inexperienced but what they do is hit quarterbacks, running backs and receivers hard which may be the key to winning this game. Because if you make Tom Brady shaky or Julian Edelman starts to doubt himself against these fierce players, Atlanta’s offense will score more than Brady will.
The Falcons are playing with a chip on their shoulder all year and they have always been questioned throughout their impressive run. But here they are- at the Super Bowl. And they are questioned again. What a better way to prove the critics wrong once again and for the last time this season.
