The Nevada Wolf Pack started the season with 5 consecutive wins but then lost to Hawaii. The team is using the spread offense to perfection and only has trouble when facing good defensive teams. QB Carson Strong is completing 69.5% of his passes for 2327 yards, 21 touchdowns, and 4 interceptions. RB duo Toa Taua and Devonte Lee have over 700 rushing yards combined for 4 touchdowns.
San Jose State is still unbeaten and what was most impressive during their 5-game run was their victory over Hawaii. They look more balanced than Nevada, especially on defense. Their ability to make key stops down the stretch is keeping them away from tough 4th quarters. QB Nick Starkel is completing 66.2% of his passes for 1147 yards, 11 touchdowns, and 3 interceptions.
San Jose State has not really been tested this year. They are always winning their games comfortably and this seems like the first game they might have trouble with.
