Minnesota are visiting Carolina without their franchise running back Adrian Peterson. This will mean Sam Bradford will have to throw the ball at this ferocious Panthers’ defense. I see him making a couple of interceptions that will make the game easier for Carolina’s offense. Cam Newton threw for four touchdowns and 353 yards in the win against San Francisco and he is likely the same kind of stats against the Vikings, either. Fozzy Whittaker had the biggest game of his career in the win, rushing for 100 yards- only eight fewer than gained all season in 2015.
We can rarely see Carolina losing at home and I can’t see them losing against this Vikings side with their backup quarterback and their backup running back. And while Minnesota has been very consistent in the early stages of the season, I still think Carolina are likely to win this game by a large margin. Prediction: win for Carolina by 7 or more points.
