Philip Rivers continues to be the driving power for the Chargers. Even at the age of 34, he continues to be an elite quarterback. Despite losing Keenan Allen in week 1, Rivers has been sensational throwing passes from the pocket. Hunter Henry proved to be one of the best tight ends from this year’s NFL Draft. Melvin Gordon is a player that can be relied on in his second year as a Bolt.
The Dolphins are usually running the football through Jay Ajayi who rushed for at least 100 yards in his last three starts. Ajayi didn’t have any trouble running on the ground but now he will face Joey Bosa who is one of the best defensive ends at stopping the rush. Ryan Tannehill is very inconsistent this year and he will have to improve his performance against an elite Chargers’ defensive unit.
Despite being last in the AFC West, San Diego has actually been a very solid team this season and Rivers should be able to move the chains on third down, which will give his team the win at the end.
