Memphis are going for the AAC West Division title this year but the upcoming games might challenge them a lot. Tulane are coming off a bye week because their game was postponed due to Hurricane Matthews.
Memphis’ defense was set to pieces last time they played as they allowed 445 passing yards against Temple. Obviously, Tulane doesn’t throw the ball that much but Memphis’ defense against the run is not that better, either. Tulane are allowing only 309 yards per game which is the 13th best in the country. I expect Memphis to have trouble moving the chains against this defense.
Tulane’s offense is one dimensional. They run the ball on 1st and 10 and they run the ball on 3rd and 10. I personally think Tulane has the better offense and the can cause trouble to Memphis early in the game with the running game. And if it is needed, Cuiellette may hurt them also with his arm.
