The Community Shield this year face each other the winner of the Premier League Leicester and the winner in FA Cup Manchester United.

Champion last year, Leicester has experienced a rather turbulent offseason with players returning late from their vacation (after playing the Euro or the Copa America). The Foxes have struggled results in preparation matches, easily beating the small club of Oxford (2-1) and Glasgow Celtic (final score 1-1 victory on penalties), before taking two spankings face PSG (4-0) and against Barcelona (4-2).
Leicester has kept its squad from last season as solely Ngolo Kanté leaving. To replace him Claudio Ranieri select Nampalys Mendy from Nice which has the same profile. The Foxes have also strengthened their forward line by signing the great hope of Polish football Kapustka, but also experienced strikers Ahmed Musa and Uche Raul.
