The Kansas City Chiefs’ defense struggled last week and Patrick Mahomes was asked to play the hero once again. He did not have any running game at his disposal and was asked to throw the football 45 times. He completed 30 of those throws for 372 yards and 4 touchdowns. TE Travis Kelce had a big game and just demolished the Panthers’ defense with 10 catches for 159 yards. The Chiefs defense is usually very good, allowing just 20.3 points per game but they have their moments.
The Las Vegas Raiders look destined for the postseason this year as they will close the season with some games against below-average teams. Their offense seems to be clicking under Jon Gruden and they managed to score 37 on Denver last week with Derek Carr being asked to complete just 16 out of 25 throws for 154 yards. RB Josh Jacobs, however, rushed for 112 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries.
The Raiders prefer to run the football but Gruden knows a whole lot about the offense. They already beat the Chiefs this season on the road, handing them their only loss of the campaign. Even though I believe, Kansas City will win this one, the Raiders should be able to put points on the board and keep it competitive.
