The Florida Atlantic Owls started the season with a loss but then got back to winning ways and they are now 2-1. Chris Robison is completing 68.8 percent of his passes for 799 yards, four touchdowns, and two interceptions. The Florida Atlantic’s ground game is not that efficient except when in the red zone, averaging 187.3 yards per contest but they have many weapons on the receiving side, including Jovon Durante and Tavaris Harrison who have combined for 493 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
The UCF Knights haven’t lost a game since 2016 and they’re looking to improve to 3-0. McKenzie Milton is completing 63.4 percent of his passes for 589 yards, six touchdowns, and three interceptions. They are averaging over 300 rushing yards per game and Adrian Killins Jr. leads the way with 127 yards and three touchdowns. Defensively, UCF are allowing 8.5 points per game.
The UCF Knights are 2-5-1 ATS in their last 8 games when they were favorites by double digits. They had an extra week to prepare for this game but this will also be the first game where they will face real competition. I doubt that they will cover the spread against a quarterback who learns from his mistakes and will keep his team in the game until the end.
