Denver Broncos usually play touch on the road against the Chargers. They had problems winning there even with the great Payton Manning. On Thursday however, they are facing a team looking for itself which blew their lead in almost every game they played this season in the final minutes. Philipp Rivers has been good throughout the season so far providing his team with the needed passes but his defense isn’t helping him much. For example, they allowed 34 points to Oakland on Sunday.
Denver are no longer undefeated, having lost to the Atlanta Falcons in week 5. Paxton Lynch played okay but he should have gotten the win against a team with so many injured linebackers on the defense that caused them to turn their safeties into LBs for this game. Atlanta’s number one ranked offense only scored 23 points against the Broncos, the lowest for them this year and the highest points allowed by the Broncos.
San Diego doesn’t have the offensive weapons that Atlanta does. Denver had problems against the receiving running backs of the Falcons but they won’t have that problem against the Chargers as they don’t have players like Tevin Coleman and Devonta Freeman. I think it will be close but late in the game Denver will get the win.
