The Dallas Cowboys looked really solid against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the road last week. They didn’t give Tom Brady any chance and kept him scoreless in the first half, winning 18-0. QB Dak Prescott had a successful outing as he finished with 305 passing yards and 4 TDs, failing to complete just 8 of his throws. The Cowboys are 4th in the league in points scored, and 5th in fewest points allowed.
The San Francisco 49ers haven’t lost a game since October and are definitely the hottest team in football. Being led by QB Brock Purdy, the 49ers are 13th in passing yards and 6th in points scored. HC Kyle Shanahan really found a sweet spot for his young QB as you can see Purdy making protected throws for big gains. The offense is really tailored to him, and that’s why he looks like a mature QB, even though he makes his usual mistakes every now and then.
The 49ers have the best defense in the NFL. Dak Prescott will have a much more difficult time than he had against the Bucs. The 49ers scored over 30 points in 6 of their last 7 games. I just don’t see Dallas keeping up with them.
