Texas continues to be very exciting but at the same time, the Longhorns are very inconsistent. They won 6 of their 9 games this season and even though they have an explosive offense, it went missing for a couple of games. It is fair to say that QB Sam Ehlinger still can’t play against elite defenses and this is a great pushback for Texas. As a whole, QB Ehlinger is completing 60% of his passes for 2406 yards, 25 touchdowns, and 5 interceptions.
Colorado played only 5 games this season and they won all of them but 1. The loss came last week against the surging Utah side. The Buffaloes are predominantly pounding the football and they are ranked 16th in the league in rushing with 218 yards per game. QB Sam Noyer is rarely asked to throw the football and we can’t really rely on him to set the tone for the team as he is very inconsistent with 58.4% pass completion and a 6:5 TD-INT ratio.
Even though I do not trust Sam Ehlinger, I think Texas is going to win this one fairly easily. They had trouble when playing against elite defenses and Colorado’s is not one of them, allowing nearly 30 points per game.
