Betting Prediction:

Baylor surprised everyone when they lost by just 6 points against the 9th ranked Texas. The game was also on the road and talented Texas’ team needed a fourth-quarter drive to the end zone, in order to secure their victory. The defense, especially the cornerbacks, showed great heart and aggression against a highly rated offense. Baylor’s offense, however, couldn’t do much and their quarterback Brewer finished with 240 passing yards, one touchdown, and one interception, while the running game was completely non-existent.

Will Grier was thought to be a Heisman candidate before the start of the season but his last performances show differently. The senior quarterback completed 11 out of 15 passes which was good for just 100 yards, one TD and one INT. This was his worst game of the season and the critiques started questioning his abilities.

West Virginia is coming off their first loss of the season and now they have a chance to miss the playoffs, something that no one thought it could happen before the start of the season. Grier hasn’t thrown for less than 300 yards, except against Iowa State. I expect him to bounce back and having in mind that Baylor lacks rushing game, it will make things easier for the Mountaineers’ QB who won’t have to play hero ball. I believe they can cover the spread against a team that can’t do much on offense.
