Ajax lost the title in last round in Eredivisie after draw 1:1 against De Graafschap. So PSV became champions with two points more and qualified directly for the group stage of the Champions League. Ajax also has ambitions to play in the group of the most prestigious European club tournament and will have to pass first through the Greek PAOK, then won the playoff. Ajax signed with Heiko Westermann this summer. They paid € 5.5M to Columbian Cali for Mateo Casierra. Several key defenders left the team and the striker Fischer, who plays for Middlesbrough in the new season.
PAOK have a great last season after they won the CL/EL Play-offs in Super League of Greece. They will have the opportunity to try to go into the Champions League for the first time in its history. In 2013 PAOK lost against Schalke in the playoffs with 3:4 on Agg. Their big star Robert Mak was sold to Zenit and it is possible this season PAOK to have problems in attack.
