The Washington State Cougars are 6-6 this season and they are just coming off a 31-13 loss to their rivals Washington. QB Anthony Gordon was asked to throw the ball 62 times in the loss and he finished with 308 passing yards and 2 interceptions. RB Max Borghi added just 50 rushing yards but his effectiveness was not utilized the best way in a game where the Cougars struggled to convert. It is a season to forget for Washington State and it is not like the previous one at all.
The Air Force Falcons are 10-2 and on a 7-game winning streak. The offense is great and the team only lost to Army and Boise State. The Falcons are scoring 34 points per game and allowing just 19 on defense. QB Donald Hammond III was asked to throw the ball just 99 times for the whole season and he has 1286 passing yards, 13 touchdowns, and interceptions. The running game, however, is very solid as Air Force has 3 guys with over 700 rushing yards.
The Falcons are the better-coached team and I can’t see them losing this bowl game. They will grind the game with their running attack and they will secure the victory because they won’t make any mistakes.
