Match: Kei Nishikori vs. Ivo Karlovic Preview, Predictions and Betting Tips
Date: Monday, 05 September, 2016
World number 7 Kei Nishikori will meet the 211cm giant from Croatia Ivo Karlovic in the 4th round of US Open.
Nishikori has been playing very good after Wimbledon. He reached the final at Toronto Masters where he lost to Djokovic in straight sets. After that, he won the Olympic bronze, but he lost early in Cincinnati against Bernard Tomic. He lost a set in every round of this US Open but he wasn’t even close to losing any of the matches. He defeated successively Becker, Khachanov, and Mahut.
Karlovic had a tough 1st round but he won 4:6 7:6 6:7 7:6 7:5 against Yen-Hsun Lu. The Croat also smashed US Open aces match record as he fired the impressive 61 aces. After this match, he won in straight sets against Donald Young and Jared Donaldson. Ivo leads the h2h against Nishikori with 2-1 wins but their last meeting was at the Memphis Open final and Kei Nishikori won in 2.
I expect here a win for the Japanese in 4 or 5 sets.
