Match: Juan Martin del Potro vs. Diego Schwartzman Preview, Predictions and Betting Tips
Date: Tuesday, 30 August, 2016
Olympic games’ finalist Juan Martin del Potro starts his US Open journey with a match against his countryman Diego Schwartzman.
Delpo is probably one of the players who will gather the biggest interest amongst the fans in New York. Delpo can’t wait for his first game here since 2013. The US Open champion from 2009 sends a huge message to his opponents it the tour at the Olympics, beating Djokovic 7:6 7:6 and Nadal 5:7 6:4 7:6 in his way to the final where he lost in 4 sets against Andy Murray.
He was the player who all seeded players wanted to avoid in US Open in the early rounds. The Tower of Tandil shouldn’t have any problems against his short opponent Schwartzman. Diego is known as a good clay courter and he managed to win his 1st ATP title this year in Istanbul, defeating Grigor Dimitrov in the final. His biggest weapon is his defence but I can’t see how he can handle Delpo’s powerful forehands. In my opinion, this will be very quick game for Delpo which will boost him more confidence before the possible 2nd round game against Steve Johnson.
Tip: Correct Score 3:0 for Del Potro with Bet365
