Match: Ernesto Escobedo vs. Kyle Edmund Preview, Predictions and Betting Tips
Date: Wednesday, 31 August, 2016
Kyle Edmund delivered the biggest surprise in the 1st round, defeating world number 14 Richard Gasquet.
The British player doesn’t only eliminate him, he just humiliated the Frenchman – 6:2 6:2 6:3. Kyle’s serve and forehand worked very well during the whole match. His opponent Ernesto Escobedo got into the 2nd round because of a retirement. He was about to play 5th set but Lukas Lacko retired. Escobedo is playing his best tennis right now.
Last month he won his first Challenger title in Lexington. His biggest problem is his inconsistency. His ranking is 205th and he got in the main draw with a wild card. The American to Edmund in their only meeting – in Binghampton (outdoor hard). Edmund is definitely the huge favorite here and I expect him to deliver another great performance and secure himself a 3rd round game probably against another American – John Isner.
